I'm Claire,  a reporter with the Chicago Tribune covering the North Shore neighborhoods.

I'm currently a suburbs reporter with the Chicago Tribune, covering the North Shore for the Pioneer Press. 

Before that, I was a higher education reporter with The Chronicle and an investigative fellow at the Illinois Answers Project, where I wrote about education and its influence on economic mobility. 

I’ve also written for a number of Chicago-based outlets, including the Chicago Sun-Times, South Side Weekly, Block Club Chicago, and Illinois Latino News.

I have a master’s degree in investigative reporting from Northwestern University's Medill School and a bachelor's in journalism and history from Santa Clara University. 

I’ve lived in several states, but I’ll always be a Tar Heel for life.
